DE Criminal Justice Council

CJC VICTIMS

Family Violence Prevention and Services Committee

The Criminal Justice Council Victim Advisory Committee assisted with the distribution of these funds from December 1992 until late 1997 (July) when the responsibility was extended to include the Violence Against Women Implementation Committee. These two committees merged to form the CJC Family Violence Prevention and Services Committee. The primary role was to work with CJC Staff in the distribution of funds process. The planning and award process procedure is designed to assure that the needs of underserved populations are met [section 303 (a) (2) (c)] and that the funds are equitably distributed [section 303 (a) (2) (C) and 311 (a) (5)] according to the Family Violence Prevention and Services Act.
